I know this is not a Fiesta Unit but the Focus and Fiesta's work in pretty much the same way. A couple of my LED's in the Unit have stopped working...

As you can see, I took my light unit apart and took the circuit board out to view the LED's. I'm sure you've had this loads of times and answered the same thing every time but...

I wish to know what LED's they are as I want to replace them with Blue ones instead of the horrid green ones.

Please offer your advice

Thanks.

they are just normal interior / sidelight leds i used to have them in my old quicksilver sidelights until got done by the police so then put them in my interior roof light

they cost 4.99 from halfords for 2 bulbs

goodluck mate show us the outcome if you do change them to blue

You have totally got confused with what I am going to achieve here.

I'm not interested in changing the "Exterior Lights" of my car... they can stay white as they were intended.

I am changing the small, 2mm LED lights on the circuit board so they show blue instead of green when you turn the switch around.

You shoould be ok to fit a set of 2mm ones. have you got anything to check the resistance of the led so you can get ones that are the same?. On my pc lights for the fan i just got a set of led that were the same size. If you fit them and they blow or are too bright experiment with resistors to get the right levels. Think thats what you wanted to know.

Just make sure you get 12v ones not 5v

Indeed... I just need to locate the exact LED's that need to be used so I don't solder ones that are too powerful and end up blowing my board up... a costly mistake.

I dought that you would blow the board just the led.

Indeed but the circuit board is very tightly packed... i can't mess with resisters as they control the unit also.

I just need to locate the exact ones I need which are the same as the green ones but obviously blue instead... then I can solder them on.

I was gonna say just pop into Maplins and buy some suitable for 12v applications. If your in any doubt Id ask one of the guys in there, they tend to know a fair bit and if not someone will!
