had this a few times now over past few week and the site is lost for a few minites anyone else had this.

I had a 'too many connections' error.

We're probably on a shared server so the total number of connections for all the sites on it is tripping the maximum allowed limit.

Yes we will more than likely be on a shared server but the company are very efficient with 100% uptime service this year... can't be moaned at.

I get this too sometimes but it doesn't hinder me too much... we have thousands and thousands of people on the site so I can understand this happening.
