Would wheel bearings be covered under warrenty? coz sounds like my front left has gone! cheers all

It should if ur car still under warranty and haven't done in mods on suspension!I think!

Hey mate. My rear bearing went a while ago and i got it replaced under warranty. They said as long as there is no sign of damage which may have caused the bearing to go, then warranty will cover it. I would get it checked asap though because the longer you drive with it, the worse it could get.

cheers all i phoned ford up and asked them, they said that they would replace them under warenty, its a pain but at lease its gonna be sorted and for free god bless warrenty!

BTW a wheel bearing sounds like a grinding (metal-metal sound?)

mine sounded like a winding sound rather than a grinding one

actually, yes i have had 1 sounding like a wine from the back wheel (bmw, i wasnt best pleased at first i assumed it was the halfshaft/prop output bearings)

hi the car is booked in with ford and is being replaced under warenty! but have just read somewhere that if one side needs replacing the other side needs to be replaced to is this true?and hekp welcomed

Well it's really up to the local ford dealer but even if they replaced both it's a bonus for you as new bearings

I bought my ST March 2006 and i have had the front left wheel bearing changed 5 times by ford, they changed the bearings and the hub, but the problem keeps coming back.

sounds like their might be a problem with something else other than the wheel bearing then mate. Probably sounds like a stupid problem but after you have had your bearings changed do you get your vehicle all laser aligned and tracked properly?

The last time i had the bearing changed i had the tracking check but it was fine, could it be the way im driving it?
