Robbo n00b Registered: 27/08/07 Posts: 46 Loc: Edinburgh	Howdy fellow ST'ers. Erm, for some reason Ford hasn't given me the separate audio manual, so just a few quick questions regarding the AUX button. What does it actually do? Do i need a separate cable?.... If so its right by the gear stick and all you need is a normal audio cable with a 3.5mm jack to connect it. I have a 3.5mm jack to 3.5mm jack cable, one goes in the headphone socket on my mp3 player and the other the AUX port. _________________________

Lisa Registered: 18/07/06 Posts: 1674 Loc: Leeds	I think the aux socket only became standard with builds after January this year. Mines is a facelift (built 2006) and it didn’t come as standard. If it was built before Jan and you want one fitted it is quite straight forward. ( I think there’s a guide somewhere on how to do it) _________________________

Skunk n00b Registered: 26/12/07 Posts: 15 Loc: Silverstone	My ST is a 2006 and didn't come with the aux plug so after finding out that the dealer was going to charge £80 + vat I decided to go to another main dealer (was passing) and called in. The parts dept gave me the correct cable for £10 and they loosened the 6006 radio for me, so I was able to fit the cable in the glove box within 10 mins. The part code is F1426121.
