Hi all and merry xmas.

Dont know if its a site problem or my computer as it works ok on other sites.
When i click on the back button to come out of an existing post and look at other posts i get the message. 'you cannot make another search at this time'.
I only use new posts in last 24 hours icon.
Thanks all...Chris

I've just tried out a few things and it doesn't make any difference what option is selected for the time period as to what happens.

Which browser are you using? I've found no problems like you have when using Internet Explorer, but when I tried using Firefox I did have the same problem. That's because when you click the back button you get the little box popping up saying "The page you are trying to view contains POSTDATA that has expired from the cache..." etc. and asks you to click ok

The reason this causes a problem is that we have a thing enabled on the forum called flood control which restricts anyone to one search in a given period (I think it's set at one per minute) to stop the forum getting swamped. As you're having to click ok to that message then effectively it thinks that you're trying to make another search which is why you're getting the error message.

Let me know which browser you're using, if you are using IE and still having this problem then I'll have to have another think.

Just to note, I logged out and logged back in using another "normal" users account when trying things out - mods/admin aren't affected by the flood control restictions I mentionned.

I think Chris hit the nail on the head here with the flood control.

When you click back on firefox it re-freshes the connection and re-instates the search, which ultimatley is denied by the server.

When using IE the pages are just saved images of what you have visited so it doens't actually re-fresh, just goes onto the page before it without too much bother.

There might be a setting in firefox to help this but i'm not sure exactly what.
