I know the Verve is going to replace the Fiesta sometime this year in about November, ive asked my cousin who works for ford selling them and he says he’s not sure when and if there’s a date for the Verve ST?. Anybody got any ideas as to when it could be released??…that is if it is in the pipeline. Cant wait to get one. Hope they give it 190bhp.

the new fiesta aka the verve will make its debut at the geneva motor show in march and will be in the showrooms in october,however the new fiesta er verve st will be available sometime 2009.There is an article in this weeks auto express about the new st with a price of around £15500.

Thanks iceman, its going to be hard waiting all that time but it does look pretty beefy from the pictures and well worth it.. and 190bhp aswell sweet

I think the ST will be available towards the end of 2009, 1yr after the launch of the standard Fiesta.
I really wish they'd call it Verve though, I'm quite used to the name now.
I will be having one!

Late 2009 sounds around right. I know whenever it's been brought up before, it's been said that the ST would come out "soon" after the actual standard ones are out, and a lot of people have taken that to been early next year, but I wouldn't expect it to be that quick. A similar timescale to that which happenned with the Focus ST after the mk2 Focus was launched will probably happen.

As to the actual new ST itself, it does sound really exciting, providing that what is claimed in the article actually makes it to the proper model. Although I seriously doubt that I'll be able to own one myself, I'm sure anyone that does will love it.

It does look like a good car from the pictures, about time it had enough power to compete with the clio and vxr.

I am tempted but i reckon it will be time for me to get its bigger brother by the time it comes out.

By end of 2009 my will be 2 so perfect timing. If it actualy turns out to look like that then ill be getting one. Or maybe the Focus if they introduce the 275bhp 2.0 Ecoboost engine with better fuel consumption than 2.5T . Interesting colour - is it elec orange altered by lighting environment or bronze??

i don't know why ford don't just scrap everything and just have a focus. in 3 sizes. cos everything looks like a focus and i think thats pretty crap really
