If you haven't got the little mp3 player connection by the gearstick then it can still be done as there is an aux out on the back of the radio so you'll have to run a wire yourself. You have to order a connecter unit (to connect to the rear of the H/U and the cable to the centre console) from your dealer which someone said before cost them about £8.

The tricky part would be drilling a hole in the centre console by the gearstick. However someone did come up with an alternative solution a while back, which I reckon would be easier, namely having the connection come through the glovebox instead:

or buy an FM transmitter that plugs into your MP3 player, no drilling or cables!

The connection for fitting it in the glovebox did indeed cost me around the £8 mark and that included the dealer fitting it. Works fine and out of sight.

They're cheap enough. You plug the transmitter into your ipod/mp3 player and tune it to the desired radio frequency. Set your STs radio to the same frequency and you have got music.

This one is under a fiver!

Try This

I have found that the FM transmitters give a very poor quality of sound. Even the Griffin Itrip is not that great. I got the £8 cable from Ford and the chap just ran the cable through to the storage area below the centre console. I just tucked the connector away and plug my ipod in whenever I need it. No hassles, no drilling and perfect sound directly to the AUX socket.
