"Ford will unveil at the Geneva Motor Show the 2009 Fiesta, a model based on the Verve Concept. The new Fiesta will be available in Europe stating fall 2008 and later in Asia, South Africa and Australia. Starting 2010 it will also come to North America..."

This is from a new review on 2009 Ford Fiesta, from Top Speed. It includes info on the design, safety and performance of the model, as well as other features. Also available is a video and wallpaper / photo gallery.

The American version will definitely be built in Brazil. Are they actually getting the hatchback version though?

I may be wrong, but I think they might be getting the saloon version instead which was originally shown as this as the Verve Sedan Concept last year:



and more recently has been shown as this as the Fiesta Sedan:

They had a Sedan previously which looked pretty damn awful!!! When will Americans learn? Don't change what the Europeans do... just make it exactly the same, cannot cock it up then!!!

Hatchback is a possible but 3-door only.
The car's are basically the same exept for emissions specs and crash protection specs.
Also NA won't have a Diesel of course and will mainly be automatic transmission.

Whats going on at the rear nothing seems to line up, sorry but I wont be buying one of those its all gone Citroen like, ive bought every mk from since I had my mk1 XR2.
