Hello everyone,

Sorry if this post has already been typed up but just wanted to get your views on this.

I have my 07 ST, bought new April last year and just got a letter from my dealer (Rates, Grays, Essex) saying that my ST is due a service which is right. They are charging:

£142.00 for Standard Ford Service. What does this cover? Also am I correct that I should also get my pain checked and stamped?

Hope you all can help me out on this.

Cheers everyone

Paul

Had mine serviced (25K) today at Nationwide Autocentre. Had to pay above advertised price to get warranty stamped but really impressed with their service. Cost £122. Def worth looking at as Ford wanted £230! I've had company cars in the past and Fords service is sh.t in my experience.

to keep body and paint warranty its best to get main dealer services. BUT this not essential to manufactures warranty as long as the garage has invoices to prove ford genuine parts are used and the correct grade of oil being 5w3o. but they MUST have invoices with ford finis codes on them

Am I right in asuming that as long as you have your car serviced at a VAT registered garage using original Ford parts, the warranty is valid ?

Afternoon,

Under block exemption, providing the vehicle is serviced in accrodance with Ford recommendations there is no effect on the wararnty. However, it is not just a case of using Ford Genuine parts.

A maintenance check sheet should be followed and if it is not, which causes a parts or require replacement as a result of this, the warranty becomes void.

Hope this helps.

Chris
