Does it make a similar difference to an induction kit or is it a lot quieter / no difference in sound at all?

I am thinking of getting a pipercross one...

I think the standard induction noise, particularly above 5k rpm, is decent anyway so I reckon you'd struggle to notice/hear the difference with just a replacement filter. A cone filter or some other sort of induction kit will give you a noticeable noise difference though (but will probably lose you a few bhp...)

Are you planning any other engine mods? A filter/induction kit by itself will do nothing to boost performance.

I will wait for the three years for the warranty to expire before I make any major changes to the vehicle to be honest.

I think that the car looks good as it is, and havent heard one standard as yet so might not even want to change that, but I thought I would ask the question before mine arrives at the end of July

Generally the warranty isn't materially affected by engine mods such as induction kits, replacement exhausts or engine remapping so don't let that bother you too much if you're intent on tuning. I think Hugh has opened another thread about this sort of thing so it might be good to see what responses people put in there.
