It seems to be a very good thing especially if it gets written off or stolen. I'd never heard of it til a couple of years ago

Its entirely up to you... do you think that your car might have a higher chance than normal of getting wrote off etc...

I wouldn't really bother for a car that costs £11-12,000 as its expensive and the chances of that actually happening are very very low...

For my Focus I might consider it as I'm expecting that to be a £27,000 car which will be higher on theft list... but even then I won't worry about it.

I have it for mine and i think it is worth it knowing if she is written off that I would get a full back to invoice proce to buy a new car ....... you can get it cheeper via an online search than you would via so shop about I would say

GAP Insurance is a must, im sorry. Cost me £100 for one year and if i write my car off or the car gets written off then you get all your money back you paid for it.

And to be honest, the ST has dropped so much in price recently that its definately worth it.

I have it on mine. I got it thrown in as part of the deal when i bought the car but i would have bought it myself if i hadn't got it. It's a low amount and gives you piece of mind that if anything was to happen then you wouldn't lose out.

Excellent ! Now that's a nice saving on the £325 I was quoted by Ford.

If you're financing the car anyway, £300 of GAP insurance hardly contributes to the total end cost and it can be included in the total finance price.

Insurance is always a question of 'what if' but just ask yourself the question what would you do when your drive the car that you're paying a total of ~15k for gets written off a few weeks after you pick it up.... you're insurance will give you about £10k if you're lucky and you'll be 5k out of pocket.

For the sake of £300 I'd rather have piece of mind.

i got mine for £160 ish for 3 years back to invoice from ala.co.uk - they were advertised on autotrader.

for that price, i think anyone would be stupid not go get it regardless of any factors.

i recently got my paint work treated for £135 by a valleter and it is equivalent to diamondbrite.

Apparently ford around here have a bad reputation for not putting the diamondbrite on at all after u pay for it!
