yep stay on Dal, just today received an EMail from Roush to tell me a Ford Garage in my area (3miles away) is doing the mountune kits, no sooner did I log off but phoned the garage, I will be his first customer very soon - my birthday today too, bought my st last year on my birthday and now treating myself to the 165 option on same birthday. Will post when had it done.

happy birthday to me............happy birthday...............

thanks all, it will £1800 for me at a not so sunny coastal town up north, have had an extensive conversation with the service manager and asked exactly who will be doing the job to ensure no youth training scheme lacky gets his big screw driver out and goes to town on it like my other jobs at my "other " ford garage.
Says will take a day as its their first one, to ensure they get it right, did promise a loan car also.

Also am now on Broadband from today so another little treat.

cheers all

is it not worth a thought about having it fitted at mountune/Roush in Brentwood, Essex - cos they will do it for £1,350ish fully fitted.

took them 4 hours to fit mine and dropped it off at 8 and was ready for 12.

As far as im away the whole system is Piper - if you put the mountune and a piper manifold side by side you can see its a slightly different design.

a bit too far for me. Here is what David Jones at Mountune said today to me:-

You're right, the manifold is built by Piper Exhausts (who also make cams for us) and the rest of the exhaust system comes from CLF who build exhausts for Aston Martin, Lotus and BMW. www.clf.co.uk

just a quick thought, is there any need for the mods to be recorded in my Service manual ?

they will know its a mountune powered car when they connect it to the ETIS system - it will show that your running a differnt software version. this is logged by your VIN number.

i got a certificate with mine saying when it was carried out, the date, vin number etc and is now in my folder with all the cars paper work.
