so come on then guys what have you done to your ST's ild like to know??? please dont tell me there just standard - cos that would be a real shame Cant wait to see your replys. you may think its alot of money (i dont) considering you have a complete new calibration, full system including 4-1 manifold, sports cat and cat back exhaust plus induction and you keep your warranty. Its transformed a boring warm hatch into something much more exciting. It sounds sporty, it goes a hell of a lot better too. I ran my old one standard for a week and it was horrible its like a bus on standard springs and it just runs out of puff at every opportunity - i hated it. Dal

Im with Dal on this one to be honest.
But it is quite expensive, I agree.
More to the point have any been put on the rolling road to see what the 165 is putting out? The gains seem conservative for the work that has been done. People "report" getting 10bhp from the K&N alone, im sure the full exhaust system, sports cat and remap could muster more than 5 bhp.

your never see 10bhp from just a k&n my old ST did a 157BHP and that was with a 57i, milltek flexi pipe and cat back exhaust.
the flexi pipe is a great mod - the standard pipe is very restrictive as is the airbox.
best two mods you can do to an ST and very cheap.

I dont believe the 10bhp gain either, just thats what gains have been thrown about for the filter... Just putting things into perspective .

it is expensive but I think having it done from the word go is certainly the most economical way of going about it, having 3 years warranty is a good thing no doubt. It'd be no point buying the kit when your car is 3 years old obviously. W3dal do they rolling road it for you to certify the car has at least 165? It'll be really interesting to know the 0-60 on the same car standard, with the 165 and then the 185, that is the bit I'd be most interested in - wonder if anyone has done this? Certainly sounds like the 165 kit is the best for daily driving, a high bhp is useless if it's delivered at the wrong point. Your car is looking great btw and the main thing is you're happy with the mod

it's not just about the small 15bhp, its the improved torque and driveability that will make it a far superior car, I'm no expert but sure Dal will agree, i want one, I want one.................

I think it was Performance Ford magazine that's just done a spread on owners ST's on the rolling road. Even the ones with Cosworth cams, manifold, exhaust, Flexi, CAIS etc weren't acheiving over 172bhp ! The cars with a K&N plus exhaust were only managing about 155bhp ! Wonder if the machine was out ? EDIT - Erm ...... Dals just beat me to it
