Can anyone advise me if its possible to use a standard 2 bike cycle carrier on the ST? The one I have is a halfords type thing with straps that have to be threaded throught the tailgate gap at the top of thr tail gate, then they run down the outside of the rear window (to the actual bike carrier). My conern is that with the spoiler, the strapes would be pressing against it - and as you have to tighten it hard, I wouldnt want to break it! lol. Although surely (what I am thinking) is that the spoiler is only fixed the the roof lip at the back at the two edges? Does that make sense? i.e could I pass a strap from inside the boot through the gap at the top AND then through the gap between the spoiler and the tailgate top or not.

I could just go to the dealer and look but if anyone can advise I appreciate it! lol

I would personally seek advice on this Chris m8tey.

The spoiler is held on by strong glue (as far as i am aware) just like the Pug 206 GTI... people steal Gti spoilers from pugs as they can be ripped off easily... i think the are the same.

I wouldn't try and put anything through the gap inbetween or over the top as the forces might damage ur spoiler or car.

I advice you go to your local dealer and ask... This wont cost you anything and may prevent you damaging your car and having to pay for it.

Make sure its first of all 100% safe to fix onto the with the spoiler, and secondly, it wont cause any damage. Good Luck with it m8.

yes, I was worried about applying any force or pressure to the spoiler incase it was only glued or something similar. I think we'll just use the gf's car when going biking!
