Any one painted the brake callipers ? or can any one suggest the best paint for this. I fancy the Red Callipers as the stock ones soon look MANKY through those big wheels.
I see DanST has had this done may be he can tell me where.
I was asking how Dan ST had done it but I posted in wrong Forum Had the telling off twice now SORRY wont post again I do appologise

Ivor - don't take this as criticism, but quite a few of the things you've posted about today have already been discussed in some detail on the forum. Have a look first before repeating topics.

There's not really much of a choice of paints I believe. The high-temp brake caliper stuff that people like Ripspeed / Demon Tweeks sell would probably be my first port of call. Money and time providing the calipers could be sent off to someone like godspeed for powder coating for a pucker finish.

just seen this post mate.

best stuff......... not kidding you here.....

hammerite metal paint.... red smooth.

costs £6 per tin and you will use about a 5th of the tin. goes on a treat, is heat resistant and looks the part. use a bit of break cleaner first then your away.. happy painting

Hi DanST,

Have you used this on your calipers? I was thinking of doing this too, but I was worried about the colour looking a tad dull. I think my white ST (when I get it!) will look superb with red calipers, until I can afford the Brembo conversion!

Has anyone else tried this?
