Hi All,

Left my car in the carpark today with the windows slightly open, then someone walked past goin to there car and the alarm went off. then i went out to turn it off, then it did it again when no1 walked past.

Is that normal? cos i had the windows open? didn think it would be that sensitive.

Cheers.

Tom

if you want to leave the windows open, you should only press the lock button on the remote once. this wont set the alarm but will lock the car. pressing twice will deadlock it and set the alarm sensor.

but would you want to leave your car with no alarm set?

Is that the final alarm noise? I thought it was just a warning noise for getting to close, The beeping noise right?

Yup, that feeble beeping is not a warning, its actually the alarm itself. My alarm clock is louder than that!

First Click: Locks Doors
Second Click: Sets Alarm

If you forget to lock your car, don't panic as it does it automatically after 60seconds anyway.

The alarm is a bit pansy but better than nothing!

Nope....

first click - locks and sets alarm
second click - activates deadlock (wont unlock from inside)

Also - the car doesn't lock itself, only if you unlock the car and don't open a door will it will re-lock.

So if you forget to lock your car it doesn't automatically lock then? swear it does...

It only locks if you unlock it and then don't open the door or tailgate within a set time.

The alarm will also start to kick off if you try to open it with the key after locking it with the remote. Putting the key into postition 2 will stop this.
