hi

my st steering wheel always seems to judder when i brake weather hard or soft have had kwik fit look at the brake discs as someone told me could be warped but kwik fit said all is ok i have had the tracking done twice

any ideas please

I would second the warped discs - is the kwik fit you went to a reliable garage, keepng in mind that they don't need to be warped much.

What type of pads do you have fitted? I know that some of the pagid/EBC pads, such as red stuff/black stuff can feel "grainy" when they are cold (because they are performance pads) - this could cause a vibration, though I wouldn't describe it as a judder...

badly uneven worn front tyres a possibility, check steering rack too.

yeh steering rack and definately check all tyre treads! what tyres you using?

Could be a twisted tyre. this happened to my dad's vectra (the shame). the rear right tyre was twisted (liek a chinese burn) and it made the stearing wheel wobble a good 1/2" or so...... bizare?!

just get ford to take a look! and dont take "nothings wrong" as an answer. They will need to check the tyres, discs, steering rack, the lot! let us know how you get on

had the discs skimmed today drives great now thanks for all the comments and info
