it looses peak bhp cos its not fully mapped, you can see one line stops 1000rpm less

if you look you will see both bhp and torque are across the entire rev range so far is higher

looking to incrase the low to midrange more than the peak power, as thats where you drive it most of the time. it would do 400 if we mapped it to 8000 again then

but we are going to try some different things with restrictors and smaller pulleys as i said above to increase the mid range

Hi

No, we had a C30-94 on there when we made 384bhp (the lower line on the graph is a C30-94) this one is bigger

Thanks Mike. We are looking at running the C30-84 because of altitude issues. We are 3300 ft above sea level. I dont think the 94 will work to well up here.

Right little update

Getting these fitted in my engine this week

Engine will stripped and cleaned and rebuilt with these in

Bit of blurb stolen from jamsport

Quote:

Having used Mikes car for some development work we have come up with a new piston design specifically for the Supercharged engines, we were concerned with the design of the valve cut out and top ring on the higher power engines where there were going to be higher combustion chamber temps on the existing old pistons .

These pistons have been designed specifically for our application to a custom compression ratio so we can reliably run 400+bhp from the 2ltr and 2.3ltr engines. They are manufactured by CP pistons in America to our drawing.
Each kit comes complete with rings, pins and clips and we can supply rods to suit should they be needed.

There are two prices for the pistons, 2ltr and 2.3ltr.

2ltr piston kits are £620inc VAT
2.3ltr piston kits are £670inc VAT
