65 is fairly ecomomical. If you can keep it at a steady speed that will do better for your mpg than trying to stay at a set speed, ie speeding up and slowing down is not good. I recently done the same run in the same day. First was fairly quick and i managed 45mpg. This was alot of speeding up and slowing down. On the second i stayed at a steady motorway speed and managed 55mpg. I have a diesel but the the princible is the same.
