Im still awaiting my updated V5 to be returned from DVLA after swapping my reg over and putting my private plate on retention.

I know it is illegal to sell a car with no V5, but where do i stand if my new car turns up at the dealer and i dont have my V5 back yet? is there any difference with them being a dealer/garage?

should be ok, as long as the buyer trusts you to post it them once you get you v5.
