The beast is going in for its service tomorrow (£154) im hoping it might feel bit different after?? Maybe run slightly better?? I dont feel its running to its full potential at the moment and maybe the service might help it. Anyone else felt their car ran better after a service?

Yep mine deffo felt a lot better after my service, more responsive and better MPG also had a (ECU)software update.

Cool i shall report back tomorrow then. Im hoping they might wash it too!!!

Oh oh, just quickly i doubt ill get a reply before i go (10mins) i dont have a service book???!! Is this right...i dont think it is. I have a receipt from when previous owner had service last year and a form that has been ticked as to what got done, but no actual book thats been stamped.

umm i got mine stamped in the back of the manual / service book :S.

Dunno if they could stamp elsewhere, they do give u a sheet of what they did etc though.

Sorted out the service book issue. I dont think i ever got one so i spoke with the garage i bought it off of and they're sending me a brand new service book with the date & milage of the previous service which is cool.
Car feels better i think!! Doesnt feel as lumpy and they washed it! Also got free litre of oil as they want to make sure it gets topped up with the right stuff!!
Will see what its like properly when i give it a good run on the motorway next week.
Also was parked next to a brand spanking new black ST (no stripes)waited for some lucky person to collect it

Well i thought it was happy days until this morning....had a good look at the car this morning in proper daylight, to find a lovely blue scuff mark on my alloy a big chunk taken out of it and a HUGE chunk taken out of my BRAND new tyre (fitted saturday). The tyre was so damaged it wasnt safe to drive it any long distance. Hubby said it was down to the material stuff in the rubber. Anyway took it straight to Ford and had a moan, they've kept the car in have replaced the tyre today and refurbing the alloy tomorrow. Also getting quote to have other 3 alloys refurbed as will look odd with just one.
As you can imagine im not such a happy bunny but glad they're sorting it with no arguments.

I have no idea what they hit something bright blue tho!! Shame i didnt take a picture actually. So im currently car'less tonight just hope its safe away in a lock up.
I reckon they knew they done it as they didnt question me when i showed them and they inspect the car before the service and didnt put anything down on the check list thing saying there was damage.

That is just taking the P**S, I kid you not, that if they done that to my car THE S**T WOULD HIT THE FAN BIG TIME!!! What makes it worse is that they didn't even own up to it & expect you not even to notice W*****S.

Well i kept my calm as i had Dave with me (hubby) and knew if any problems he would back me up. Just doesnt seem fair that some people that you trust your car with dont give a flying f*** and i paid good money yesterday for a 'service' and i just get more hassle then what its worth. Im self employed so it means i lose out part of my morning too so puts me behind for the day. Doesnt make life easy!!

trouble is missboo consequential losses are not claimable from them i think

I would demand that wheel is looked at because like you say god knows what they actually hit and how hard and goodness knows what further damage they might have done!
