Hi all,

I have had my about a month now and whenever I go for a drive at night I get flashed by other motorists. One car even stopped dead in front of me and only moved when I reduced my 'beam' to side lights, to which she sarcastically clapped me . I have the height adjustment set to '0' as the manual recommends, and they are definitely not set on full beam. Are the lights on STs especially bright?

Thanks,
Lee

The blue light is only on when I want / put full beam on.

To be honest, when the blue light is on, there doesn't seem to be much difference to ordinary headlights! I am baffled.

Sounds to me as though your lights are stuck on full beam.

Maybe an electrical fault.

Ahh, OK.

Yes, looks like there's a problem.

Either with the switch or the GEM.

But it may be that the bulbs have recently been replaced and not connected back up properly.
Check the bulbs are correct first.

The bulbs should be H4s by the way

If they arent set to full beam like you say then it sounds like the allignment is out. This can be done by a garage. It'll cost but it'll stop the random flashers lol

Thanks for all the help guys - am gonna book it in the garage after the weekend. It's still under warranty. I reckon it may be the alignment - I'm not convinced they are level when the adjustment dial is set to '0' as the manual suggests.

Cheers again!

i think they need adjusting not changing! it points too far at the ground and needs to be further ahead!

Took my car to this morning - they said my headlight alignment was "off the scale" for which they had no explanation. I have only had the car two months so wouldn't have thought I have done this in any way.

I had to wonder how this was not checked before they sold me the car!

They also did a recall on my clutch - apparently it needed a clip to stop the pedal "slipping off the shaft"

That should have been done ages ago (18months??)- shame on them
