hi everyone i think somethink is wrong with my engine reason is ive done just over 7000 miles and it is the 4th time ive had to top the oil up 3 times it was neally empty so my question is how many times have you had to top up your oil


i have all ready checked for leaks

Perfectly normal for a 'new' high revving petrol engine. Just keep a regular eye on the level, as you've already done.

In answer to your question, I posted recently about this, topped up twice now, first time it was empty !! My fault though, didn't check it for 4 weeks.

ah i better check this before using mine otherwise that could create many problems with no oil and a big ford bill lol

I always have a quick wipe and dip every time I wash my (which is every couple of weeks on average). Can't go wrong.

as ive just bought my car im washing it off every day i know sad but its a bit of pride and joy will be sure to check it next time i wash it though as i dont want any explosions

I know the feeling, every time I look out my window I stop and have a smile to myself. Its even better to do that when it's looking all shiny!

yeah i just got it gave it a nice wash on sunday then it rained so i went over it again to get all the water off and then again when it rained have relied on the sun to dry it off at the moment though ha

You say 4th time you've topped up but how much oil did you have to put in to top up each time?

I bought my car from new and now I have it for 9 months and made nearly 9000km but my oil level is still ok no need to refill

well 3 times it was on the bottom line of the dip stick the other time was half way down i dont know in liters (i should really)
