One of my back lights seems to keep on having a light amount of water and condensation inside - is this heard of on an ST? (2005 model)

Easy to remove the actual light cover? I presume it's just some type of rubber seal that needs looking at.

Yes there are two screws down the inside edge when you open the tailgate.
Remove these then grasp the lamp and yank it from it's locating pegs.

It sounds like that at some point someone has changed a bulb and either lost the gasket from the bulb holder or not installed the bulb holder back into the lamp properly.

Hope this helps.

I'll have a look, but theirs water marks all the way from top to bottom of the light cover. Not just one bulb area, but each section like it leaks in rain water from the top - will check it out today

Thanks

just had a look, managed to unscrew but the thing is stuck - won't seem to come out and already ended up breaking a little of the plastic - think this is a job for fords

The bottom light is 3/4 full of water

I bought a cheap pair of lights off ebay £25 - replaced the faulty leaking one and the entire unit was soaked! All the electrics were wet, I've got the new replacement one on now and also sealed the outside with silicone to stop anymore rain getting there in future.
