When you put it like that with the savings on fuel etc i can imagine it balancing out the overall cost to maintain the diesel ZS

Can i ask what spec your ST is...colour...extras etc..just curious..and how did you go about deciding what colour to go with as im finding this quite hard at the mo as i think they all look really great!? each to their own i guess though..

I don't know really this one was at the right price right mileage etc
Mine is just standard with no mods apart from the stereo is now sat in my house as i bought a new one but we wont go into the problems with that
No stripes although i wouldnt mind the ones down the sides

The fact the diesel is 16p a litre more expensive balances it out quite well but the initial out lay is so much greater

oh and added my own mp3 connection

adam08 im also leaning towards one with side stripes as i think maybe the ott ones maybe highlight it to the wrong crowd but still love them though!! again each to their own i guess.

Your spec sounds great steve how easy was it to add mp3? i know the the 07 onwards have it as standard right?

The newer model have it as standard and even in the older ones, the wireing loom is most likely already there so you just need to add the connector (part costs about £15 with the loom)

All in, its about 10mins work

If you have the original I don't think its possible think I'm right?
And don't think its that hard to the rest depending on how got you are with a set of tools...or a hammer?

yep, you can only get mp3 with the facelift version

As for tools, none really needed depending where you want to put the connector. You can drill the tunnel or just leave it floating around.

thanks guys all usefull info i think i'll be heading in the direction of an 07 plate onwards anyway...one thing i wish i had right now though with this weather is a heated screen ..it's taking forever in a morning just untill i can see!!! and as daft as it sounds, im looking forward to the simple things like remote central locking powersteering etc...thats even before i start thinking about the performance side of things!!!!

I prefer the pre-facelift model...bubble lights dont look as good IMO

Yeh id agree with you there with the lights, but havins said that i like the interior better on the facelift model.....hmmm.decisions decision...popped down to the local ford dealer earlier to have a nosy around they have an ace performance blue in the yard, 56 reg, 14.000 on the clock but was 8,499 seems a bit steep to me considering the age, miles, current market etc...is anyone else in agreement or is this worth it?

yeah just had a look at those, so the one i've found at the garage seems a bit much in comparison...i'll keep hunting...
