just bought a 2008 fiesta st and loving it to pieces but how on earth do you load more than one cd in the cd player as it says it is 6 disc and it dosent say anything in the user instructions

The Sony CD player is only 1 disc, the older stereo was six disk though which is where the confusion will have come from.

nope acording to the spec its 6 cd and it has 6 lil cd lights on the stereo also :S but wont let me whack another 5 discs in

Still, I'm fairly sure the sony unit is 1 disc unit only, but don't know about the focus one?! If there's a "load" button, you have to press this to add more discs.

its the same unit as in the focus dosent have a load button but everywhere this unit is mentioned it says its a 6 disc but dosnet say how to get 6 discs init its even got 6 cd lights on the lcd labelled 1 to 6 :S

when you say everywhere, where does it say this?!? As far as I am aware the sony model is only a single disc unit, but can play mp3 cds.

The graphics for all the discs will be there as it's a common display for both models.

The unit fitted to the 08 STs is a single CD with MP3 compatability.

Ford have never changed the specs to show that they have deleted the 6CD changer in favour of the Sony CD, that's where the confusion comes from

yes there is a 6 disc sony player, mine is only one disc and is the gen 2. there is 4 sony players in total, 2 that are genration 1, a 6 disc player and a single player, and 2 that are generation 2, a 6 disc and a single again, if you have the 6 disc it wil have a load button top right of the player, if not i think mine has ast or sumthing in its place, mine still has the lights for 6 discs but is not. generation 2 look better imo, but i was miffed when i found out its not 6 disc as i though with it being sony it would be, but mp3 fits more albums on anyway

yea i think ure right mine says ast instead of load the focus ones say load but annoyed now as i was told by the ford dealer i bought it from it was a 6 disc has anybody whipped one of these out to see how many pre outs it has? i.e would i be able to wire an amp to it and a multichanger or just one out of the 2?
