hi all.
one of my speakers is playing up at the moment.
can any one tell me the standard speaker size in the front and rear of the car.
i used to have a saxo vts and had a full boot install but now im older and a little wiser i thought just replacing the standard speakers with some good quality ones will do for me.
thanks.

I always used to use Pioneer when I used to buy ICE stuff (years ago, I don't bother now) and always swore by Pioneer's speakers.

I have been thinking about upgrading to these though but only after getting a Sony radio fitted.

They're not a bad price either.

I'm actually not 100% sure that they are 5X7s on the rear of the 3-door Fiesta TBH, I know they are on a 5-door. I'm sure I've seen on etis a picture of a Fiesta with the rear 1/4 panel removed and a round hole in the body for the speaker (which would explain why the Fiesta with a Sony radio fitted only have premium FRONT speakers.)

You'd soon get a Pioneer to match though if need be.

Someone on here will be bound to have changed theirs and will let you know though.

thanks dave.
i had another problem with my st but its sorted now.
the problem was,
if i put my foot down on the accelerator quickly and took it off, the car would rev up after my foot was taken off, so really it had a delay, witch was very annoying if i wanted to pull away quicky. also it would rev very high,
since i changed my exhaust (cat back) with milltek. i no longer have the problem. its very strange. what do you think the problem was?
thanks

I've found an old thread from someone who replaced their system, and I can confirm that the speakers that are fitted as standard are 5x7 both front and rear. However... they did get 6x8 speakers to fit easily in the back. They had been told by the place they got them that they would be able to squeeze 6x8 also, although they stuck with ones 5x7. As I don't know that this has actually been done with the front ones, I'd check-up first before ordering any.

That's the ECU backing off because of emmissions. It won't let you stuff too much fuel in and risk damage to the catalyst. It's what I used to call "whateverism" you wanted to go but the emmissions system says "whatever"

Now that you have freed things up considerably it will breathe alot better and become more responsive. If you fit a decent induction system on it will be even better still. Have you not changed the flexi pipe, you may want to consider this next.

Yes you have to remove back seat, piece of cake though, only two big torx bolts.

You also have to remove the bar that holds the front seatbelt in place.
