From the flywheel ive been told you can lose 10% of the power before it gets to the wheels

Don't forget to put the front wheels on the dyno!
The factory claimed output can vary somewhat, it may be a little lower than expected depending on how the car has been maintained in the past, it may be best to have a good service before the test to make sure you're is tip-top

The power is at the front wheels, and thats engine power 148, power at the wheels will be less because of whats lost through the transmission.

It is possible to get an odd car either way on BHP, however the production methods of the engine are very very consistent and will come out with the claimed 148bhp in the majority of cases.

Well we all know that with a bit of tuning the engine is capable of lots more so I would imagine the 150PS is down to mapping and they'd all be pretty consistant.

right ok lol i meant to put front wheels, i was half asllep when i posted it. its only got 9k miles on it and the induction and flexi so no need for service, so when its dynod i should have over 150 bhp easy with them 2 mods??? was wondering what type of map to get, should i get it on a dyno and custom mapped, so it sorts out the flat spots or jsut a bluefin superchip or summat??

dyno to see if putting out at least what it should, custom map might be too expensive just for those mods, with others yes.

bhp is for brake horsepower and it's a unit used in UK. ST is made in Europe so it's 150 hp, they're the same actually. if you want to calculate the real power divide the bhp unit with 0.9863 you get the exact result.
so the ST is 150 hp in Turkey and all of the Europe and it's 148 bhp in UK. it's all the same about all the cars. bugatti veyron is 1001 hp here but it's 987 bhp there in UK. it's the same calculation.

Ah, the HP to BHP conversion. And the PS!
PS is the metric equivalent of BHP, like Pounds vs. Kilograms in weight terms.
So 150PS is just a shade under 148bhp, something like 147.87bhp or something like that.
