noticed this on my ST recently.... When u accellerate and then lift off, or when load has been applied to engine,i.e. going up a hill etc a kind of rattle noise comes from the engine bay.... Does anyone else get this? Almost sounds like engine movement ... Say could it be engine mounts loose?

I haven't noticed a rattle, but I have noticed a "whizzing" noise when accelerating briskly throught the gears!

Cars in to the dealer for a load of issues, so hopefully everything will be ok on Thursday when I pick her up again.

I've started noticing the same thing - also happens when I start, but only lasts for about 2 seconds. I think its either a fuel or engine management issue, because the sound is similar to the noise engines make when you put them under load. I haven't noticed a drop off in performance though. Not too worried about it as my last car (Corsa) used to do the same and it never gave any problems.
