you can hear something , kinda seeems like sumfins loose , its usually wen ur in the wrong gear but not all the time

Do you get it when you accelerate at say 25MPH but you're in 4th gear?

If so you may be using crappy supermarket fuel, probably Tesco's.
Put some good stuff in.

You're correct that there's no point in putting Ultimate etc in as the ST isn't set-up for it. It was set-up for normal BP, but obviously Shell etc are just as good - in actual fact I've found that mine seems to run best on Total for some reason. Some people have actually found that their ST's haven't liked higher grade fuels. However I've found supermarket fuel to be a non-no. I only did this once down in Newquay at the 2006 summer event, as that was all that was available at the time, and very quickly everyones cars started to pink.

My car feels no different for whatever fuel i put in...the local for me is tescos and i always run it almost completely out so i have to go to tesco then :P

i dont really know what pinking is but when i accelrate hard i dont hear it but when i accelarate normal it sounds like sumfins loose behind the pedals

Always use Tesco fuel myself. Gotta love clubcard points!

At the moment my local Shell is cheaper than Tesco and & Sainsbury's
