not sure if this has been asked before but here goes...

is it true that just a remap alone can add 20bhp to your car? or would it need a manifold and exhaust to get that sort of power?

Think most remaps ie Bluefin etc are 10-12 bhp.

not to a standard car and probably not to cars with low BHP as ours, maybe to something with big power well above 200bhp.
These devices are to maximise the gains from components added and to improve driveability which is more important than top end BHP.

I think this is a crafty way of fooling the ECU to provide more BHP and may not be good lifetime wise.

i agree, mapping would be last step or choice for me, especially if not done by ford like on mt kits. as been said in other posts what do you do when your engine goes kaboom, they wont want to know lol.

just had a quick look, sounds like they are using DS/BF to remove maps and recalibrate, I don't think they would be able to fully access a ford ECU, I don't know enough about this stuff though. Unless you car has mods then as I said they must be doing some trickery to get more BHP that the ford ecu will allow.
