EIBACH SPRINGS FROM THE DEALERS.

When i asked about some eibachs from my local ford dealers, they told me that none are listed for the ST. I have said to them that the springs for the diesel models are the ones i need, am i right or wrong, and does anyone have the ford part number for the correct springs. Thanks.

So the 1.4 and 1.6 diesel are the same springs.

I kept this from another post on my file of upgrades, small warning though, while the majority of people fit these and are happy with them, they are not designed to work with the existing dampers so can bottom out on really bad roads/pot holes this is because the springs are exactly the same but wound tighter to lower the car. I'm saving for coilovers:-
"There are springs approved for the petrol models and the ones for the diesel/ST models. The Eibach part number you are after is E10-35-010-02-22 the diesel/ST variants. If you are getting them from Ford the Ford part number you want is 1214915."

Thanks all. So even though the part numbers are different ie ford and eibachs they are the same spring.

Yep the Eibach part number is E10-35-010-02-22 as Steve pointed out & the Ford part number for the same springs is 1214915. The reason Eibach recommend the diesel springs is the identical front axel load for both the diesel and ST engine.

The dealers have give me a price of £109.77 for the springs which is not to bad, fitting they said was four hours and £211.14, I said  they are having a laugh, could do them myself but worried about warranty.

Ive just been to see my mate who owns his own garage, £60 to fit.
Ford price is a joke.
Ordered springs today from ford, should get them tomorrow or day after, will take a pic when i get them fitted.

HI I HAVE A 1.4 REPLICA AND NEED IT LOWERING WHICH PART NO. WOULD BE OK FOR MY CAR IT SEEMS TOO HIGH AT FRONT I WANT IT LOW
