Hi all i have seen a post in the past around this subject but i am keen to see what everybodies replies are, as i have a freind who has an and there are differnces between our speeds at the same RPM`s. My ST travels at:

+/- 138 kmh @ 4,000 rpm
+/- 170 kmh @ 5,000 rpn

can anybody else verify for me what there speeds are at these speeds, for a rough kmh-mph converstion divide by 1.6

I'll have a look on the way home, although doubt I'll be able to get it up to 170kmh in the sort of traffic I have to contend with!

I,ll try but 170K thats fourth gear ,I,ll try to go a bit slower tomight and find out.

As said above I couldn't, and probably wouldn't, go up to 170kmh on my journey home, but in 5th gear at 4,000rpm I was doing about 83mph/133kmh. Sounds about right with what you're getting keith.

At 80mph, in 5th gear I'm doing 3750rpm. Before my Pipercross panel filter it was whole 3800-3850rpm *lol* Woooooooo!

I do cane it ,it,s made for a good spanking,but at 140 it turns at about 4000rpm,too many tourists to get up to 170 safely.When I am caning it I change from 3rd to fourth at 130k and I feel that I could leave it a little later.
