Came home today to find my back door smashed in & my TV's gone, along with all my kids electrical stuff.

F'd off are not the words.

Damn... I know how it feels... an invasion of personal space makes it feel like it's all changed and not yours any longer and it's unsafe...

I hope you get it all sorted soon and it never happens again!!!

I hope they catch them and lock them up for good!!!

I did not have an alarm but had ordered one to be fitted this Friday Along with the new door that was arranged to be fitted today.

Thanks for helping me keep me chin up boys & i'll see ya all at FITP. As a newbie it will be my first one. Hope the sun shines as bright as my does on that day.

One upside to this, if there is one, it's a good job that your wasn't on the drive with your keys in the house.

That would have been another major missery with the car insurance etc.

Hope all gets sorted, and the kids get *extra* electrical stuff off the house insurance, through good will.

Ooooh not a good thing to come home to! I remember watching all these coppers running about our road & a helicopter flying around very low wondering wtf was going on. Turned out they were chasing the guy who had moments earlier burgled our house! (he was caught & convicted!)

Btw was your back door a uPVC one? I think those things offer a shocking level of security versus a good hard shove.

I always keep the keys near me at all times. By the bed at night. Spare is locked in a very safe place off premises.

It was a hard wood door that they had hit with such force it splintered down the outside & the lock was completed smashed out in one peace. was at work with me. Spare keys are now in a safe at work.
