i was supposed to pick our new st up today but sales rep rang and said he could not release the car to us because ford a recalling st fiestas for a manifold fault have any of you heard of this problem

Nope! Not heard of that problem! Did he give you any details like it affects cars manufactured on a certain date etc etc?

he did not go in to any detail at all

found out today from dealer ,it was ford who wanted them to look at the
flexie pipe to make sure it was the correct one ??
it dose have the correct one fitted, so i can now pick it

Hmmm... sounds like a convenient excuse to me. Recalls are never mentioned unless it's a safety issue at which point all owners are contacted. Hope you're enjoying it.
