My oil level is around the minimum mark. I've added 100ml of ford 5-30 oil. How long should I wait before I check the level again? How much will I need to add to bring it to half way?

Leave it for 10 minutes to give it time to drain into the sump. Just put quarter of a litre in and see if the lower mark goes up a bit. If it does, give it time to drain in again and keep putting quarter a litre in till you get to the max mark.

Done. I've now added 300ml in total a little over a quarter. And now the wife's gone out in it!!

If I added a little to much say, just over the maximum mark would this be burnt off or would it need to be drained out?

But I shouldn't think you have gone over the maximum mark if you have added 300ml from the minimium mark

Should I keep the oil at maximum or in between minimum and maximum?

It shows in the manual the mark between min and max?

To much is as bad as to little, just down from max mark is where i set my level.
