Hi All

Looking to add a couple of mods to the ST over then next couple of months - starting with a K&N & flexi pipe. Just wondering which insurance firms people recommend? I've just had a quote from Greenlight for £380 fully comp (I'm 28 with full no claims) where as Adrian Flux wanted £500+

Any ideas where to try next?

BTW I'm with Direct line at the moment who are a complete rip off so I'm not even going to ask them about adding any mods

Try all the comparison sites. I suggest beatthatquote.
Confused said £3000 for a standard ST for me but on beat that quote it was half that.

The thing with most of the comparrison sites is that I've tried is that you can't put any mods in

Do you know any which let you add mods?

You should try asking Direct line how much it will be extra to add the mods to your policy.
I thought when you went to the quote you could edit the details to include mods.
So even if you press buy quote you have to go to the insurers site and go through afew screens / confirm details.

£402 at Admiral - they made me declare the factory fitted tinted windows too. As a plus side with them though they only made me 'check' exhaust/manifold as an mod - which should mean no price increase to add 4-1 Milltek instead of the flexi and a cat back system

Im with Admiral to, paying £1500 for a standard ST. Might see how much the mods will be. Do they have special codes for packages ie montune 165 and 185 will have a mod 'code' or reference number.

On the Admiral website there was no specific Mountune packages but there are a load of tick options such as non standard filters / exhaust & manifold / ECU update etc which should cover their packages.

Oh and as a side note added my Mum and Dad as named drivers to knock £100 off their original quote

there are special codes but the deal is only with Greenlight, other insurers are not bound by the deal. Adrian Flux while not always the cheapest simply want to know BHP difference.
