Driving round the M25 on thursday evening about 8PM, I was overtaking a slow fiesta MK5, as I was doing this a SAAB 95 that was in front of the MK5 decides to pull out into my lane. He must of been doing 70 and I was doing about 85. I swerved to avoid hitting him, I was that close that braking alone (even with the ST's excellent brakes) would not have stopped me in time. I missed hitting him but as I tried to regain my positioning in the lane the car span out and I flew across all the lanes, hitting the barrier on the hard shoulder on my rear driver side bumper, followed by the rest of the driver's side.

All I want to say, is if that had happened in a different car, I doubt I would have got out unharmed let alone be here today.

I had three witness lorry drivers, none of which got the SAAB's plate and once they saw I was ok, just drove off. So lets see my premium sore, great!!!!

I am still waiting for the verdict on whether the car is a write off, hopefully not.

Oh no thats terrible, sorry to hear that Glad you're ok though! I guess its a testament at how well built the is and how strong the chassis is. Just a shame that there are a lot of carless people on the roads, lets hope you get you're back

oh no, that sounds horrible.

As long as you are ok, that's the most important thing.

I have to say, after living here for 2 years now, the driving style controlling most of the SAABs and Volvos over here is seriously below par when it comes to spacial awareness. I nearly stacked my Porsche in to a dude today that just decided to change lanes at traffic lights without seeing me coming through.

Like I said, hope you are ok.

Luke.

that is horrible, glad ur ok.. i can sympathise with the horrible experience of spinning - as i was hit on a dual carriage way roundabout and i span 180 across the 2 lanes. horribly scary experience. some drivers are just F***ING idiots.

Sounds like a bad smash, glad to hear you're ok.
Testiment to the strength and build of the car "rock solid".

I hate those f**kers, who don't look before changing lanes, nothing ever seems to happen to them

Really glad you're ok after that, hope your st isn't a write off, but if it is you're fine which is more important. Dissapointing that no one got the saabs number plate, it must have been obvious to him what had happenned, which is probably why he did a runner.

Thanks every1.

Me being ok is the main thing, but the fact that it happened is so pointless. All he had to do was check his wing-mirror.

Just thought I would let you all know of my suffering without my ST.

They guys at the insurance repair centre are W*$%^ŁKers aswell which is really annoying but it's all over now, thank G-D!!!

hopefully his concience might get the better of him (well, you can hope!)

some people dont seem to have a concience though - the idiot who drove into me on the roundabout has submitted a statement - his defence for the court hearing and he's actually trying to say that i was overtaking him on the roundabout, in the non existent 3rd lane... (WHAT???) he's obviously never heard of what contempt of court is....

Im gonna f**k**g beat the living **ap out of him..

Honestly, the roads are a joke! The bad driver blame the fast drivers for accidents when all the fast drivers are alert and can actually drive. The thing is I avoided hitting him, which is near on impossible upon reflection of the situation.

Hope the court realise what an idiot this guy is. What car was he driving?

yes, its not fair that its the faster drivers who get tarred with the 'unsafe' brush.. its the bloody rest of the drivers who cause the god damn problems! oh well! ha ha

A bloody L reg, white, LX Mondeo!!! Well, unless the Judge is a utter idiot, he or she, should be able to tell that he's in a world of fairy tale.. here's hoping!!

well at least your safe mate with no injuries, sounds terrible but the car can be replaced, even if it is at your cost, but your life cant at any cost.
do you have any pics of the car mate? did you have the reflex pack fitted?
did the police come out? it may be worth contacting the police if there are cameras fitted on the m25 it may of been recoreded on cctv. just an idea mate which may help. let me know how you get on.

Well the police camera system's don't record continuously, so thats out the question. What's this about Blue traffic master cameras?

I don't have any pic's unfortunately, I was in a bit of a state, it was as they put my baby onto the vehicle recovery that i nearly broke down in tears!!!

I didn't have the reflex pack. The police did come out but it took half an hour cause of what's going on in london at the moment.

A white mondeo LX, what a joke.
