I've just been in touch with a place about ordering a new , but the guy asked me if I wanted to wait until October to get the facelift model with the new lights?

Is it going to be worth me waiting, do you think?

I personally wouldn't, but its up to you.

There will be no external differences bar the front and rear lights. The interior will be different, I don't think its gonna be a vast improvement over the current one, the seats for instance will remain the same, my understanding is that its only going to be the centre console. Not sure what effect, if any, the facelift will have on resale values of the ST, were you looking to buy something like a Finesse it might be a different story.

if you order one now it'll probably be ready the middle of september.

you may as wait for the facelift and get the nice new interior.

the current interior is shocking quality. i'd wait for the new one which may have the option of climate control.

I'm pretty chuffed with the look of the current one.... no too sure about the new lights on the face lift. Much prefer the current oversized ones.

I don't agree that the current one is poor quality either, I find it to be pretty decent. You have to remember that it is only a Fiesta, but its still miles better than anything you'll get in any other small European hatch.

I thought the quality was pretty good too to be honest considering its a fiesta, its put together extremely well too.

hhmm... just had a look, and I dont like those new lights! especially as I want a white car, those big black lights on the front wont look as good as the current ones.


what are they doing to the interior? complete new design?

No pictures of the new interior have been released yet. I keep checking the likes of AutoExpress and Autocar magazine to see if they've got anything but haven't found any real info so far. I've heard it'll be more in keeping with the interior of the new Focus, but then I can't imagine it'd be that much of an overhaul really. I only reckon the centre console will change, stuff like the seats will remain exactly the same.
