I keep getting the airbag warning light on the dash coming on. It seems to clear when the ignition is turned off and back on but comes back on again. Please can anyone help?

Tell me:

Is the light on constant?

Or is it flashing.

If it's flashing you will notice it flashes a number of times, then goes off for a second then flashes again.

Count the flashes for me please and I'll tell you what the fault is.

The light is on constant untill you turn off the ignition. Thanks for your reply.

Have you or a passenger moved the position of the front seats recently?

Disconnect the multi plug(s) under each seat, MAKE SURE THE KEY IS NOT IN!!
Blow in the connector and port to clear any fagash/fluff/crisp residue etc

Spray the plug and port with WD40 Re-connect and disconnect the connector five times (to ensure good contant on the terminals.

Turn the ignition on and see if the light's gone

Thanks i have just done this and now the light is flashing 2 times then stopping for a second and then flashes 2 times again and this seems to just continue

You haven't re-connected them properly then.

Did you do it with the key out?

It's normally the seat cable that get disturbed when someone moves the seat that hasn't been moved in ages.

If that wasn't the problem then it's the clockspring.

It is a Fiesta/Ford isn't it?
