Hi

I'm trying to figure out the vacuum lines that my Fiesta ST has:

After the TB I see two vacuum lines:

One goes to the back right and it seems it finished in the brake fluids deposit.

The second one is cover with some plastic stuff and don't know where it goes

The third one before the TB and since I have the K&N is the breather hose, but not sure what is the function of this hose.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

You need to put pics up to describe!
The one going to the master cylinder isn't a vacuum hose it's the fluid line to the clutch slave cylinder.

The upper thick hose is the vacuum to the brake booster (servo)

The lower one is to MAP (manifold absolute pressure) and is used when there is EGR fitted which ST150 doesn't have. I think it just goes to a bypass valve on ST150

This is the crankcase emissions blow off pipe.

It basically puts the dirty hot smoke out of your engine oil back into the engine to burn it off.

Get Rid!!

You should use a small breather filter on the port on the back of the rocker cover and blanck off the inlet pipe to your air filter.

Hi Dave,

Thank you for the answer, so you recommend to use a breather filter in this hose? Am I correct?

Also could you rephrase the words "blanck off the inlet pipe to your air filter" English is not my mother language and I cannot find the meaning of "blacnk off" is like block something, perhaps ?

Regards
Iber

I think that was a typing error from Dave there!

Yes he means "blank" or "block"

Yes sorry, typo

Blank/Block Off the pipe to the air filter and fit a breather filter to the rocker cover on the engine.

Not very enviromentaly friendly to let the crank vent to the atmosphere but neither are busses that run on red Diesel either.

Let the engine breathe air not hot oil vapours

i have fitted a oil breather on mine andhave a K&N blanked the breather hole in the filter. heres a pic of what it looks like.

1. Oil breather/ventalation filter
2. Ecotek valve
3. vaccum line to brake servo
4. blank bung on K&N, (where oil breather pipe would have gone to)

I doubt very much it matters TBH.

I left mine connected to the standard airbox with no problems.

yeah mine goes back into the GGR induction via that pipe...
You're stuffed either way because you either let the hot air out of the breather filter into the engine bay or via the pipe back into the throttle and my engine bay is hot enough with a 4-1 Milltek Manifold with no heatshield LOL!
