2.3 should be a straight swap it's the same engine basically.
IIRC it might be a tad taller but if you're using a K&N it shouldn't be a problem.
You would need to carry over all the ancilleries from your ST engine plus the ST's flwheel, clutch and starter motor. And I would imagine you would need to use the ST's manifolds as well.
This engine would definately benefit from a larger throttle body that the standard ST's though.
I think you'd only be looking at about 175BHP though, without cams/cats/exhausts etc etc but it would have a much improved great spread of torque compared to the 2.0.
You could find yourself a written off Mazda 3 MPS and stick the engine in out of that - 265 BHP straight out of the box.
