Some one at ford wasn't thinking when the put the aux socket in the car. It's in the glove box which is fair enough but there is no where to run a cable to the outside (no where that i can see anyway)

Someone wasn't thinking

Loc: Always on here these days !!!
is that where its meant to be on a Foci or has the last owner had it fitted there as I know a few retro fits on the Fez have them in the box rather than next to the gearstick

I'm not sure I understand (maybe I'm the one not thinking? ) If you've got the AUX connection in the glovebox are you trying to move it? Or do you just want your MP3 player outside of the glovebox which is why you need a cable?

i use my mobile as an mp3 player so need it out of the glove box.
There is also how do you change the song if you cant get to the mp3 player.
It shouldn't be too much hassle just run a cable down to cradel for tne phone. Next time i'm in the car i'll get a pic to show what i mean.

Here you go.

Just found a hole in the back of the glove box so might be able to use that.

What i'm going to try and do is get a phone cradle and somehow mount it next to the radio. I'll get a 90 degree jack so it'll look smarter aswell.

Ok now I see what you're saying.

Will look good and tidy if you can get it all setup with a cradle.

Did you give up with nokia maps or is it garmin with the names changed?
How did you manage it? Mine just says it's needed to connect to a server and costs may apply. Dosn't even find any satelites.

You can download Garmin (so I've heard) with the cracks and maps all included (so I've been told) but you then (so I hear) have to go on the Garmin site and install the update to include touch screen support.

Just go into your maps settings and only use built in GPS so that you never get any charges
