why are my caps which were brand new not so long ago all marked on the edges, they have never been touched by a garage and I am careful and only take them off and on at the one single correct point. It seems they get marked as you drive, how ? why ?

Does looks slighting white at the edges? Looks like mine have sort of started peeling away from the plastic

yep little white bits, like you have overpolished the edges and cut through the paint. I'm sure the paint is thin on these but still, they don't move or turn and it's more on the outer edge which is not abutting the wheel so no rubbing ?

dunno about this ? rear discs hardly apply percentage-wise, so can't be heat, vibration might be the reason as they hardly press-firm-fit do they ! The paint on the edges isn't actually marked, it is just not there, very much like when you polish the edge of something and polish your way through the paint. How about some large DMB Gel Badges in their place ?
