I don't see how they can say it will form on the evaporator. It will only form there when there is too much gas in the system and it runs colder than it should causing condensation or there is a leak on the evap.

If anywhere it would form around the seals on the inlet pipe (warm air that is returning to the compressor). It's nice and warm there
