I've got a weird smell coming from my vents when I don't use the air con just the air. I've had it since I went through a murky puddle a bit fast

shall I clean the engine bay up to take the smell away? It's not a gross smell it's just not great lol and would like to take care of it...

You may have drawn a bit of dirty water into the pollen filter and contaminated it mate.
Change it and see how you go

Oh... that's good that they have a pollen filter in cars because I'm a sucker for hayfever and sneaze like buggery and that's what they don't want you doing in cars so you don't crash I guess lol

(IIRC) Passenger footwell.. get on your knees (ooer).. right handside.. bit of plastic with slats in.. undo some bolts/screws maybe?.. pull off? and its there.
