After breaking my arm 4 weeks ago during a rugby training session I haven't been able to drive my since.

I'm really getting the itch to go out for a thrash around but I'm under the impression that I'm not insured as the hospital & doctors told me I couldn't/shouldn't drive.

Am I insured to drive or not? Am I just being silly? Should I wait for my arm to get fixed?

would wait mate!

if god forbid you caused an accident the insurance company would void the insurance as doctors say your not fit to drive.

Have a look at the small print it will tell you in there.

Some cover you some don't. My mum when she broke her ankle was still covered to drive. But my dad with damage to his wrist( forklift crushed it against racking but classed as a brake.) was not allowed to drive until he got a drs note saying he could.

I think this is a bit of a grey area tbh and if you did have an accident you could find yourself in a lengthy and possibly pointless battle. Just be patient and leave your where it should be and keep it nice ready for when your all fixed again.

In my view your probably still insured but the doctors wouldn't want you driving as it could make your arm take longer to heal or you could run the risk or causing long term damage before it heals.

My advice personally though would be not to drive!!!
