Im hoping to buy a 2005 or 2006 white or blue after i return from my hols, few questions.

How much is the yearly road tax?
What insurance group are they? I thought it was 11 then ive heard 13?
I know the answer will differ from person to person whats YOUR average mpg?

it is in group 13 and the tax is on the increase im not sure how much it is now but i paid £175 in Feb for a year

and MPG depends how you drive... if you have a lead foot you'll be low to mid 20's but then you can get about 40ish on a long run

hope this helps

The road tax is still £175 at the moment, but will be going up to £200 in April 2010.

I like to utilise the cars abilities (or id have bought a 1.2) and get around 24-27mpg on average. I have had 43mpg out of it which was only 4mpg less than the 1.4 fiesta I was following - this was a massive surprise to me tbh. What a great car the is

The MPG figure depends entirely wether you put your foot down or not.

For example... im my if i lamp my foot down I get 6mpg... if I drive very nicely then i can get up to 37mpg... usually I get about 19mpg.

Other things you have to add are the 17" tyres which do cost a bit more than your standard fiesta.

If you are worrying about how much fuel/tax etc is then I suggest you don't buy it. Get a Fiesta ZS Diesel instead.

I drive steady work and back, rubbish 6mile commute, get easily over 30mpg.

I do about 100 miles a week on the motorways, and achieve an average of 38MPG by the time the tank is empty, on the A roads i like to get some grunt out of the car here and there, on the motorway i stick to 60MPH to keep the revs below 3k and save fuel - it's a nice speed to cruise at too, i'm never in a rush to get to work!

i know one of adams mates used to have a diesel ZS and he said although the ST was quicker off the line he could near enough match it through the gears.

Well my wee 1.4 zetec is lowerd and colour coded with 17" st wheels, i was thinking of getting a 1.6 diesel zetec s and lowering it and adding wheels the road tax is 35 a year and insurance group 6,

but when looking into the prices i can get an for around the price mark and with an exta 50bhp i was thinking i may aswel get the real deal and not another replica.

Getting the real deal will simply cost you more in fuel, if you can afford to do it then go for it

Yup this is true seemed effortless to accelerate out once moving as well because of the extra torque
