I bought one and it didnt work. The bf bought one for his and 120 miles later the light went off. It seems to be very hit & miss with them.

Try disconnecting the battery and pressing the brake pedal five times whilst the battery is disconnected. Then leave the battery disconnected for an hour but make sure that when you re-connect you have the ignition key turned to number two and that will do a hard re-boot of all the systems.
If it doesn't go off straight away then it can take up to twelve journies which means key out and in and drive twelve times, not leave the engine running and stop and start twelve times.
If it doesn't go out after that it's not going to I'm afraid. A lot of these MIL cheaters are programmed for EuroIII emmissions and the ST is EuroIV.

ive disconnected the battery etc and did reboot it, all dash displays were 0 etc, but light still not off.
when you said that it could be the fact it may just not go off, do you mean its the MIl eliminator that will be faulty, or do you mean its just the way the car is?
im getting scan gauge for my birthday in sept, so that will be constant update with code etc, and i know that will turn it off, hoping it will leave it off as the scan gauge will be permenantly plugged in.
cheers,

I'd just put the cat back on TBH you'll have to for MOT anyway.

ye, ive got the standard cat, but milltek pipe diameter is bogger, so trying to source a pipe reducer, just so the standard cat can be used, im not really wanting to fork out 300 odd quid for hi flow sports cat.

too much money for nothing, no gains between decat and hi flow, plus, im wanting to get it remapped anyway, so this was just a temporary fix. im gonna get a pipe reducer for when the MOT finally comes around, but then again, ive got a wee trick up the sleeve for the MOT

- You what!?
How about: you haven't got to put on a sport CAT everytime you have an MOT! *Time saving!* *Same gains as decat!* *No annoying Mil light!*
I rest my case...

ye, but mil light gone for £20, slightly better performance from a decat, plus it sounds ace. i like buggering around with my car, and takes me 5 mins to put on the standard cat-back for MOT's, 2 bolts and some rubbers. exhasut is always checked anyway to stop bolts from rusting and seizing up. so om not worried about doing it, ive had half my ST in bits already mucking about with different things, my dash is away to get hacked now for my scan gauge to fit

ye as soon as i get it fitted i will post it up, will be getting it on 24th of sept, but gonna get the test piece made up over next few weeks, and then make just a small box the same size as the gauge as i know all the dimensions of it. hopefully it will all work, would be good as will get rid of the coin holder!
