just tried in my mates (pre face lift) and had no joy getting the bolts off. anyone ever done it and also noticed any difference in the performance? they feel about the weight of a person to me so i think it will make a slight difference

Its fiddly but I didnt find it a problem taking mine out. They've gone back in however because the latch holding the larger section of the back seats has bust so its stuck lol

They are real easy to take out if you have the star keys...as well as the seatbelts etc

Because you haven't told them you have taken them out It is less for them to pay because they don't have to if you dont tell them everything

Someone broke into your car and went through the labourous, tedious task of unbolting your rear seats with the specific tools they needed that they happened to have and loading them into their own car?
Although someone once broke into my mate's Mk3 fiesta and stole his mats. Then a few weeks later they broke in again and stole the mats once more, only this time they drove the car away with them.
